Miss
Great Lake USofA
The Midwest's Regional Qualifier for Miss USofA!
Alexis M. Rouge
Miss Great Lakes USofA 2008
The Miss Great Lakes USofA pageant has had a long association with Miss WI USofA. Jimmy King began both contests back in the mid-1980's and together they represented Wisconsin and the Midwest at the national level. While Miss Gay WIsconsin USofA is a closed system and contestants must adhere to residency requirements, Miss Great Lakes USofA is an open system and a person from anywhere in the nation may enter.
In past years, it was generally contestants from the Midwest that entered Miss Great Lakes USofA and many of our former State Titleholders for Wisconsin USofA also captured this Regional Title. These include DuWanna Moore, Loretta LaMour, Sasha Mitchell, and Kyllie West. The Miss Great Lakes USofA pageant was moved to various promoters a short while following the death of Jimmy King. It has been held in Ohio, Inidiana, and most recently, Pennsylvania.
In 2007, Miss Great Lakes USofA was brought back to Wisconsin. The first contest was held at LaCage in Milwaukee on February 10th, 2008. Alexis M. Rouge proved victorious and now proudly wears the crown and tradition of Miss Great Lakes USofA.
